Thank you for considering becoming a boys basketball official with the Snohomish County Boys Basketball Officials Association. We wish to provide you some information that may help in your decision to become a basketball official. There are several expectations necessary for you to become a boys basketball official:

You must be physically able to perform on the basketball court. A lot of running and endurance is required. Learning the rules and basketball interpretations are also essential.

As a member of our association your conduct, integrity, appearance, and attitude are expected to be at a highest level, because you are a representative for the entire SCBOA membership.

You must provide your own transportation and every official is required to submit a Disclosure and Consent to Criminal History Check form. These are required by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association, our governing body, since as an official you will be working with youngsters.
